Visited vedic village recently and had the chance to eat at this place . The food was very good. We ordered Chicken cutlets: The cutlet was very good and a must try , the filling was a minced chicken mixed with herbs and spices which was then batter fried in oil. It was crispy and served hot with house made condiments, which yumm too. Posto narkol boda: This item was yummy and super crunchy to have , the taste was good and a must try. The filling is mixture of grated coconut with spices and deep fried. Mochar chop: one of the other veg cutlets was good too. For the mains we ordered : Cholar dal : yellow dal with coconut shaving, it is a bit sweet but tasty. Aloo dum: it was good and a must try, prepared in a onion based gravy in mustard oil. Main courses was ordered to go with luchi it is a kind of poori. The food was yumm . The food served was enough for 4 people and costed around Rs. 800 per head. They have thali options as well, go for it if you are super hungry. Also try to book ahead during the weekends as the place gets super crowded.

My Bhoj started with Bhaja which had Juri Aloo Bhaja(potato fry), Begun Bhaja and Korai Shutir Chop(made of Didu). In the main course I had Shukto, Narkel Diye Cholar Dal, Posto Jhinge, Bhoomir Chorchori, Chanar Dalna, Bhaja Masala Aloor Dum, Lucchi (Poori),Sada Bhaat. As, this is Bengali food therefore, it was sweet but a must try Bhoj. What a satisfying meal 💆

Staying over at the resort brought us to Bhoomi , the fine dining restaurant specialising in Bengali cuisine . Hinting onto a rural Bengal theme , the place is tranquil and beautiful. Parking: ample space for parking, but had it been a covered space / shade would be benefiting for it is summer and parking vehicles outside in the afternoon is mess . Ambience- rustic, serene! It has a courtyard , outside seating area. Interiors- 1.The mud house with thatched roof is two storeyed .Ground one seemed a bit cramped, so we went to the first one . 2. It is dimly lit and beautifully decorated with terracotta figurenes, flower bowls. The interior is designed soothingly , with folk music being played in the background to suit the rural bengal theme. Food- had ordered for the Aamish thali (Non- vegetarian- ₹1300) which had : 1. Ghol- is a traditional summer drink which is made of yoghurt, flavoured with herbs and spices. It was refreshing . 2.Bhaja Platter- was an assorted one. It had jhurjhure aloo bhaja ( potato fry) , begun bhaja ( fried brinjal) and Topshe fry with kasundi . Topshe was fresh , crunch fried and very palatable with the kasundi . 3. Sukto - was appetising enough. 4. Cholar dal - basic. 5. Aloor dum - basic 6. Chingri Malai curry-contains two pieces of the chingri. Tasted ok. 7. Dhonepata chicken- contains one piece of chicken. 8. Kosha mangsho- contains two pieces of mutton. It was flavourful. 9. Basamti pulao- loved it. 10. Luchi- was way too leathery and tough to savour. The other platter had Radha ballavi , which tasted better than luchi. 11. Chutney and papad- chutney was amazing, loved it. 11.Dessert had Rajbhog and misti doi . Except for the non- vegetarian food items, everything else was on repeat. They charge on the repeat servings of non vegetarian items. Staff- Dressed in dhuti and panjabi, the staff here are cordial and courteous. Pinch on pocket- for 7 people the bill came around 8 k , which contained 4 aamish thalis and items from the ala- carte menu. Do visit for that innate Bengal feel .
